Kampala, Uganda – East Africa / March 18, 2016
The Supreme Court has granted the legal team of former presidential candidate, Amama Mbabazi, one more day to scrutinise the Declaration of Results Forms that were handed over to them by the Electoral Commission. The extension of the deadline was rejected by President Museveni’s lawyers as well as the two other defendants in the case. The Chief Justice Bart Katureebe said he ruled in favour of Mbabazi’s team for the sake of justice.
